Create a growth plan so you know exactly
how to attract clients and share your work.
When I first started growing my web design business, I asked a successful business woman how to find clients. Her best advice was to go to large networking events and luncheons. Ugh. I knew that wasn’t going to work for me. Disappointed and confused, I set out to find another way.
And that’s exactly what I did.
Over the years I’ve discovered there isn’t a “one-size-fits-all” growth plan that works for everyone. In fact, the wrong marketing plan can make you feel burned out faster than working in a job you dislike (!).
The truth is, the best marketing plans take your natural interests and skills into consideration and go from there. There is good news and bad news in this, though.
The good news is that there are many ways you can promote your work and attract clients. The “bad” news is that it can be easy to feel stuck or uncertain of how to get started.
But it doesn’t have to be bad news. Sometimes a little guidance can go a long way.
If you need help creating a growth plan, we can explore your hopes, dreams and ideas in order to create something that fits you just right.
And in the process it’s entirely possible I’ll see ideas and potential in you you’ve never seen before.
And they might be very exciting ideas.
And they might cause you to leap for joy.
And let’s be honest. They might make you a wee bit nervous. Confronting growing edges can do that to a person.
But there are big benefits of having a Growth Plan.
A Growth Plan can be a strategy, but it’s bigger than that. It’s meant to take you on a journey and bring you deep satisfaction.
Why?
Because it will help you attract clients naturally as you do the things you love to do.
And it will help you stretch yourself into uncomfortable places so you feel great knowing you’re reaching your potential.
The best part, though, is having an abundance of clients who love working with you. Who value you, find meaning in your work and tell all of their friends about how you’re helping them solve their problems or challenges.
So, if we create a Growth Plan together it might look something like this:
1. I send you a Growth Plan Kit and point you to an online personality assessment tool where you can learn all about how you process information (if you don’t know already.)
2. You email me the responses to the Growth Plan Kit and personality assessment results. I read them, let them percolate, and have ideas spontaneously spring to mind in weird places like when I’m in the shower…that sort of thing.
3. We have a hour conversation to set intentions, define a few key things (like who your ideal client is), brainstorm ideas and come up with exciting ways for you to grow your work.
4. I create a detailed Growth Plan for you to print out and keep on your desk or put in an organizer.
5. We can stop there if you’d like. Or…
6. We can schedule follow up calls to help you actually move through each marketing step.
